Founder & CEO

“I am the founder and CEO of K&K Swim School and watermellow’s program. I have taught both of my young children to swim in many forms of water. The bathtub is where I introduced them to their fundamental in-water skills.

My life passion has grown within the 15 years in this field. What started as simply teaching children to love the water, has evolved into creating bonding relationships between parents and their baby. I truly believe that swimming can be taught through love and patience. I am so excited to share everything I know about the water with you.”

“I have loved the water since I was a baby and spent every summer growing up at a small town community pool with my best friend swimming our hearts out. I have been teaching swimming lessons for the last five years and have spent the last year with watermellow! 

My goal is to help both you and your child become more confident in your relationship in water so that every experience from our first lesson on is a positive one! I am so excited to have this opportunity to meet so many new people and share my love of swimming with as many as I can!”

“Hello! My name is Milana and I am currently studying Psychology and Computer Science at the University of British Columbia.

My love of the water started as a young child when my dad would take me to the pool every Sunday morning. It was the best part of my week! The skills I developed as a result of my early introduction to swimming have had a lifelong impact on me. His enthusiastic view of the water fostered my love for it, and I hope to foster that same love with every family I have the privilege of instructing.

I have been teaching swimming since 2018, and have worked with K&K Swim School since 2021. I have taken many courses to advance my swimming knowledge and abilities including my Bronze Cross and Aquatic Emergency Care. I can’t wait to help create a comfortable and safe environment for both you and your child as they progress through their swimming journey!”

“Hi, I'm Bailey! I started swimming without any floatation devices at the age of 2 years old. It was then that my family knew I was destined for a life in the water.

I grew up in a small town and joined a swim team in a neighbouring community at the age of five and never looked back. In 2021 I accomplished my biggest dream of competing at the Olympics for Team Canada. I am still competing and training at the highest level of sport and want to pass on my knowledge and love of the water to others.

I look forward to meeting you and your child and helping you both feel comfortable and excited about swimming and water safety!”

“Hi! My name is Jordan! Swimming has always been a part of my life since I was little and I am so grateful to my parents for putting me in swimming lessons at a young age. You’ll always find me in the water whether it is swimming in the pool, the ocean or teaching. After having swam competitively for 8 years, I continued sharing my love for the sport through teaching lessons and coaching.

I love providing parents and kids with the tools to create a fun and safe environment in the water. My favourite part of teaching is watching kids gain confidence in themselves through learning how to swim.

While studying for my undergrad in Exercise Science, I’ve been coaching adults in the Triathlon and Masters Team at McGill in Montreal. I look forward to setting the foundation for your young ones and providing you with the tools to confidently teach your kids how to swim!”

“Hi, I’m Emma! I am completing my Bachelor’s degree in creative writing at the University of British Columbia’s Fine Arts program. I am in my fourth year and am currently living in Australia for a study abroad this year.

Before I could walk I was in the pool. I did everything from water polo, swim team to synchronized swimming. Some of my best memories were in the pool growing up. It is such a privilege to be able to swim and grow up in the water.

I ultimately became a lifeguard and swim instructor because I wanted to pass my love and knowledge for the pool onto future generations. I know that some of my earliest role models were my swim instructors and I hope I also can be that person for aspiring swimmers.”
