  • Setup: For bathtub lessons, fill the tub with water as much as possible and set it to a warm and comfortable temperature (around 100 Fahrenheit). Set up your device next to the tub with a clear view of the bath (an overhead view is best). Someone can hold the device or you can prop it up with a tripod or anything else that works (books, etc.). For pool lessons, set up your device so that your instructor can see you and your little one in the pool. Any device works, but you may want to have a towel close by in case of splashing.

Connecting with your instructor: You will receive a Zoom link via email, which will be used for your lesson. Make sure you have a strong internet connection ready! Headphones are super helpful too if you have them.

Equipment needed: You will need a plastic cup, floating toys, a swim diaper for your little one, and a non-slip mat for bathtub lessons.

  • Each lesson in our mini and frequent splasher journeys expire after 30 days.

For example, if you signup for our mini splasher swim journey, you will receive two lessons per month - these two lessons must be redeemed within that month.

  • Yes, we can teach all of our lessons dry! We understand that it can be difficult to navigate the schedule of a newborn and some circumstances may mean you won’t be able to get in the tub at your scheduled lesson time. In order to make the lessons flexible we are able to teach all of our lessons dry. These lessons are just as beneficial as being in the tub with your baby. Our instructors are masters at explaining swimming and will be able to walk you through how to do all of the skills and progressions you are working on. You will be able to practice on your own time and master those skills before your next lesson.

This is a great option when nap time comes up or if your baby is feeling under the weather

  • Floating toys

Your most used tool, floating toys must be chewable/squishy, hole-free (to prevent mold growth), colourful, grabable (small enough to fit in your baby’s hands)

    Cup

This is your second most used tool. Get one that is tall and a bright colour.

Non-slip bath mat (bathtub lessons only)

We use the bottom of the tub a lot in our lessons & during your practice time. This mat helps prevent baby from slipping while on the bottom of the tub.

Get a mat with good suction, enough padding, and a good length (one that will fit your tub).

  • Getting water if your baby's ears for the first time can be scary.

Most ear infections are inner ear infections and not caused by water at all. If water does get trapped in babies ears from cue tips or pressure changes this can cause an outer ear infection. Submerging your babies ears in clean water during the lesson won’t cause this to happen. The water will be able to drain out as soon as they come up. If you are worried about signs and symptoms of ear infections we encourage speaking to your doctor for peace of mind.

  • Now!

The earlier the better when it comes to your little one's swimming journey.

Just like learning to walk and talk, learning to feel comfortable in the water should be a part of your baby's early childhood.

Fear of the water in childhood usually comes from the unknown, that's why we're here to educate and help you build an amazing foundation in the water together.

Our lessons start at 3 weeks old and teach up to 36 months.

  • This is the perfect program for families with multiples since parents don’t need to leave their house to teach their babies to swim.

Grab a helping hand so that they can manage the other baby(s) while you are teaching one of your babies in the tub.

Each child is different, so we recommend registering each child into their own time slot so that you have one-on-one time with your instructor.

Schedule your lessons on different days so that you aren’t jam packed with information.

This can be a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the time you have with each baby alone in the tub.

  • Of course! This is a huge milestone for you and your little one. We want you to capture this moment on camera.

This is actually one of the reasons we want your baby to be clothed.

If you are planning to share your experience on social media, please tag us. We’d love to show off your baby’s new skills!

  • Due to limited space in the bath, and the activity level of babies over 9 months old, we are unable to teach babies 10 months and older in the bathtub.

However, we offer Parent & Tot lessons in the pool! Set your computer or phone up next to the pool and our instructors will teach you the rest. *Please note that the pool must be at least 2-3 feet deep. This allows us to practice skills that require more pool depth.

  • Bathtub Lessons

Your bathtub just needs to be big enough for you to sit comfortably with your baby between your legs.

    Pool Lessons

These can be done in a hot tub (with temperature turned down) or any pool that is at least 2-3 feet deep.
